Adjustment
Reimbursements
Money Amazon pays back to the seller for inventory it lost, damaged or mishandled. A positive line in the P&L.
When FBA loses or damages a unit, or a customer refund is not matched by a returned item, Amazon owes the seller a reimbursement. Some are paid automatically; many have to be claimed.
Reimbursements belong in the profitability waterfall as a positive adjustment at the growth-margin stage. Leaving them out understates profit and removes the incentive to pursue the ones Amazon has not paid.
